Coffee House

PictureCreative writer Tierny Touch performs "Sruk Khmer," a spoken word piece about her Cambodian roots
Coffee House is an annual event featuring a collaboration of the arts areas at Douglas Anderson. A theme is selected by the Junior and Senior creative writing classes in early fall. Recent themes have included Ancient Voices, Doors & Keys, Architecture, Electricity, and Destinations. The 2022 theme will be announced in late September.

All students have the opportunity to audition their work in collaboration with another art form, such as writing and dance. All work must be 100% original, from the writing to the choreography, and incorporate the theme in its interpretation.

Coffee House is held in the DA Gym and the adjacent outdoor amphitheater.
