TICKET INFORMATION BY PURCHASING THIS TICKET, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING HOMECOMING CONTRACT. NON DA GUEST PARTICIPANTS MUST SUBMIT A SIGNED HOMECOMING CONTRACT BY OCTOBER 18TH. YOU CAN GET A COPY OF THE CONTRACT FOR YOUR GUEST FROM MS. MELANSON IN THE CREATIVE WRITING SUITE, BLDG 6.
2023 HOMECOMING AGREEMENT
PRIOR TO HOMECOMING
Each DA student may purchase up to 2 Homecoming tickets, including one for the purchaser and one for a guest. All non-DA guests must be pre-registered by completing and turning in a separate, printed contract no later than October 18th. Students may not sell or exchange tickets. No online tickets will be sold after October 19th. Guest changes may be made before 3:30pm on October 18th but NOT after.
Requests for refunds for any reason must be made before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023.
You must be IN SCHOOL and IN ALL CLASSES ALL DAY FRIDAY, October 20th (i.e. 8:25 a.m. – 3:20 p.m.). You may not be tardy to school. You may not check out early for ANY reason; exceptions to this must be approved in advance by the principal. You may not be on suspension or in ISSP on Friday, October 20th. You must have served all detentions/discipline consequences by October 16th. Check with the Dean if you think you have outstanding consequences.
NO ONE 21 YEARS OR OLDER OR UNDER 14 YEARS OLD WILL BE ADMITTED. Each attendee’s Driver’s License or School ID will be checked at the door. NO EXCEPTIONS.
You may not have any financial obligations to the school when confirming your Homecoming agreement by digital ticket purchase. See Administration to confirm financial obligations to the school.
NIGHT OF HOMECOMING
A DRIVER’S LICENSE or School I.D. must be presented by every attendee at the door. The DCPS School Code of Conduct will be enforced (e.g. no PDA, no “dirty dancing”, etc.) The Code of Conduct can be accessed at https://dcps.duvalschools.org/domain/11313
There is NO RE-ADMISSION. Make sure you don’t leave anything in the car or have ANY reason to exit because there is NO RE-ADMISSION.
DO NOT ARRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. If chaperones have reasonable cause to suspect that you have been drinking or using drugs (examples include stumbling, smelling of alcohol, etc.) your parents will be called to pick you up and you will face the consequences for a Class III offense. Consequences include suspension, mandatory counseling, and (for seniors) not being allowed to participate in senior activities, including commencement. Any appearance of inappropriate behavior will be dealt with by the Administration.
The Glass Factory personnel are in charge of the property. If they tell one of our guests to leave, DA chaperones must comply with their decision and cannot override their call.
DRESS CODE is “After Five.” All guests must be in appropriate semi-formal dress. Dress shirts and slacks should be appropriate, and dresses should not be too revealing. No outfit should be, or resemble, undergarments or sleepwear.
Costumes are strictly prohibited. If you have any questions about your selection of attire, check with administration BEFORE you buy, rent, or design your attire. The Homecoming chaperones will have the final say on appropriate dress and will refuse entry to anyone not in compliance. Facial coverings are optional per district guidelines. However, any facial covering worn can only cover the nose and mouth. Full-face masks and Mardi Gras-style masks are not allowed.
PHOTO RELEASE: I understand that photos will be taken at Homecoming. I/We consent to my/our photos being taken and shared on school websites, social media, and Teams channels. If I am under 18 years of age, I confirm that my parent/guardian has also read and agreed to the photo release.
AGREEMENT STATEMENT: Your purchase of Homecoming tickets indicates that you read, understand & agree to comply with ALL the above conditions. You also agree to get clarification from Administration for any questions or doubts and not make any assumptions. You agree to be responsible for your guest (non-DA student) and to have them read and understand the contents of this agreement. You agree that a parent/guardian has knowledge of this agreement BEFORE confirming your ticket order for the Homecoming Dance. Note that all attendees are subject to random search upon entry.
